Watery reflections

 Warm, liquid...watery eyes,

dark as mine,

like the sea in a summer night,

encircling a big blinding light,

mirror of the sparkling moonshine.

Sauvage as my red hair

and steady enough to balance my disconcerting intemperance,

balming my thrills,

fomenting my spine shiverings,

making me wet under the raging rain,

smelling as an afroidisiac saltiness,

bitter

 as the harshness of a man.

Soundly voicing my heart,

beguiling and softly upsetting,

you can say everything apparently without hurting,

letting open thousands of questions

in the blurred remembrance after the smoky trance of the obnubilance of the encounter.

You cut off my liane

to which I don't know whether to hang myself 

or by which to take the fly,

wondering in the wilderness,

in the numbness of the sky...

you dry my swelling dizziness 

leaving me  unearthed.

You quench the painful flames of my blood.

You get the roots that I don't get.

 Caldi, liquidi...occhi acquatici,

bui come i miei,

come il mare in una notte estiva,

che attorniano una grande luce accecante,

specchio di un brillante chiarore lunare

Selvaggio come i miei capelli rossi

e stabile abbastanza per bilanciare la mia sconcertante intemperanza,

come un balsamo per le mie scosse,

fomentando i brividi del mio dorso,

bagnandomi sotto la pioggia imperversante,

profumando di una salsedine afrodisiaca,

amaro,

 come la ruvidità di un uomo.

Musicalmente dando voce al mio cuore,

avvolgendo e dolcemente sconvolgendo,

puoi dire tutto senza apparentemente ferire,

lasciando aperte migliaia di domande

in un'offuscato ricordo

dopo il nebbioso trance del magico obnubilamento dei nostri incontri.

Tu tagli la mia liana,

a cui non so se impiccarmi 

o da cui prendere il volo,

per vagare nella selvaticità,

nella vacuità del cielo.

Asciughi il mio gonfio stordimento 

lasciandomi sterrata.

Spegni le dolorose fiamme del mio sangue.

Tu hai le radici che io non ho.
